Meridien
Consulting Associates was established in 1993. We apply the insights
of psychology to help organizations improve the effectiveness of
individual leaders, leadership teams and the cultures in which
they employ their skills. Meridien’s principals are Dr.
Calvin R. Brown and Maureen G. Brown.
Calvin Robert Brown, Ph.D. is an
Organizational Psychologist and Management Consultant. He obtained
his honors undergraduate
degree in Psychology at Brock University and went on to complete
his doctorate in Applied Social Psychology at the University
of Saskatchewan. Post doctoral study and internship through the
Ontario Board of Examiners in Psychology was completed in 1985
and he maintains his status as a Registered Psychologist in Ontario.
He has received training in negotiation and conflict management
from Roger Fisher (Getting to Yes) at the Harvard Law School.
He is certified to administer the Center for Creative Leadership’s
(CCL) leadership feedback and development tools, and has studied
executive development processes at CCL.
Maureen Gail Brown, M.A. is an organization development
consultant. Maureen received her honours undergraduate degree in
psychology
at Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. She then completed
a masters programme in Applied Social Psychology at the University
of Saskatchewan. Maureen spent 10 years in human resource management
positions in public and private sector organizations. She has
been consulting in the area of organizational development for
the last 12 years, and specializes in helping organizations anticipate
and manage change effectively. She has been on faculty with the
Niagara Institute (part of the Conference Board of Canada) since
2000.
